This policy explains what personal data Engira collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to respond to you — nothing more.
1. Who we are
Engira ("we", "us") provides automation, custom software, and AI agent services for engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at obrown@engira.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Engira is the data controller for the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (optional)
- The message you write to us
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not build a profile of your browsing. The only data stored in your browser is a small preference remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme — this stays on your device and is never sent to us.
3. How and why we use it
We use the details you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss and deliver work you've asked about. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you separately ask to hear from us.
4. Who processes it for us
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:
- Netlify — hosts the website and processes contact-form submissions on our behalf.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the site; your browser requests these files when the page loads.
These providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they operate under recognised safeguards for international data transfers.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. When data is no longer needed, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email obrown@engira.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date above.
